Coming “Under Care”
Today marked a milestone in Steve’s life. He officially “came under care” of the South Texas presbytery. For those of you readers who aren’t so familiar with the presbyterian church system, this is one of the first steps for someone who thinks God may be calling them to gospel ministry. It involves an application, meeting with a committee of the presbytery, and then a vote of the full presbytery to bring you under care. Now Steve is officially connected with the presbytery and he will be overseen or “cared for” as he continues his pursuit of God’s calling in his life. Another man from our church also came under care and here is a picture of the two of them as they prepared to take their vows.
This week also marked the beginning of Steve’s first distance course from Covenant Seminary. It is called “Christian Worship” and I look forward to learning about that with him!
